I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
After 10 minutes of independent reading time and about 15 minutes of instructional focus on pronoun agreement, students worked on creating their notes on the introduction to Greek Drama, Sophocles, and the tragedy Oedipus Rex. They had seven sources of information, all of which must be used at least once. They used a series of questions in three categories to guide their research focus, and then they created notes (not a list of answers to the questions) to reflect what they learned. I encouraged them to work together as a group to find, interpret, and share information, but each student must have his/her own notes in his/her binder by tomorrow (see what I did there? Pronoun Agreement!)
Homework: Complete hero nomination interview and bring written notes from interview to class tomorrow. Complete Greek Drama notes also and have in your binder tomorrow.
