I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Back to Greek tragedy today after working on hero letter revision yesterday. After 10 minutes of independent reading, students took up Oedipus Rex again, reading in class Scene I (p. 211-218). After reading and answering comprehension questions, they had time in class to review Scene I for textual evidence of the following topics on the Tracking Guide: Tragic Hero: flaw, Dramatic irony, Motif: Light/Dark and Blindness/Sight. Lastly, they had to find and define the four vocabulary words in today's reading and write the synonym sentence for each one.
Homework: Finish any classwork from today that you did not complete. Final drafts of hero letters due Monday.
