I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors classes: Early release schedule today gave us one hour in class. Groups worked on the literary seismograph activity, which counts as a quiz grade when submitted next week. Homework: Work with group members to complete the literary seismograph by Wednesday of next week.
Academic classes: We started by writing a summary statement of Scene I in Oedipus Rex, which we read yesterday. We also looked at the format for a theme statement, but did not write a complete theme statement for Scene I yet. Next, we worked all together to answer the comprehension questions for Scene I, writing the answers and line numbers on the question handout. Finally, students had to create a graphic organizer of character traits and supporting evidence from the text (quote and line numbers) as an exit ticket. Homework: None.
