I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors Classes: We started class with a review of sentence types, then moved on to notes on fixing sentence fragments and run-on sentences. We will have a quiz on sentence types, fragments, and run-ons towards the end of this week. Next, students considered the rubric for the seminar (in class tomorrow) in writing and discussion while I checked for seminar prep (printed copy). Anyone who did not provide both a printed copy AND a copy for verification on Turnitin.com is not allowed to participate in the seminar tomorrow. The assignment handout for the seminar outlines the alternative assignment and grading policy for students who did not prepare in advance. Homework: Complete preparation for the seminar if needed. Remember to bring a copy of Things Fall Apart to class every day this week.
