I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
After 10 minutes of reading, students completed a grammar check to test their understanding so far of simple, compound, and complex sentences along with sentence errors such as sentence fragments and run-on sentences. They will complete the bottom section of that handout for homework this weekend (rewrite the paragraph). Next, students from several reading groups presented vocabulary lessons to the class so that we could learn and remember vocabulary words from the speeches in Julius Caesar. After that, students worked in groups to prepare for Monday's skits and speeches presentations while I continued to check and give feedback on ACES paragraphs.
Homework: Complete grammar check (paragraph). Also, come prepared for skits and speeches (parts understood along with costumes/props as needed).
