I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors Classes: We started class with the NC Test tutorial video, a requirement for all students taking an EOC test. Students absent today will need to come to Smart Lunch on 1/5, 1,9, or 1/12 to watch the video where I can confirm for the state that they have done so. Next, students read in their WWII books for 15 minutes prior to working for 30 minutes on written work for the first third of the book (all written work for the first third is due tomorrow in class). For the final 15 minutes, we reviewed research skills that were answered incorrectly on the practice quiz yesterday in class.
Homework: Finish all written work for Part I of WWII book (except for ACES paragraph -- that is an in class writing assignment). Remember to get EOC dismissal form signed.
Academic Class: We also started class with the NC Test tutorial video (see above for options for absent students). Next, we reviewed the rest of the answers to yesterday's EOC practice reading selection. The last half of class was structured into stations for students at various stages of outlining and writing the research paper's body paragraph. Homework: Read/answer questions for tomorrow's EOC practice.
