I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While today is the last day of class for most courses, we will meet one more time during the exam scheduled for each class period. Because English II has an EOC for its exam, we meet for a "regular" class based on the following schedule and then take the exam on Monday, Jan. 23:
1st Period: Meet 7:18-10:27 Wed., 1/18
3rd Period: Meet 11:24-2:18 Wed., 1/18
4th Period: Meet 11:24-2:18 Thur., 1/19
All: EOC Exam testing 7:18-11:48 on Mon., 1/23
Honors Classes: After our awards ceremony, all students worked on the Lit Letter assignment. This is our final major assessment for the semester (not counting the exam). I treated this writing as an in-class writing assignment, and it was due at the end of the class period by submission to Turnitin.com.
Academic Class: After our awards ceremony, we went over the Study Guide for the research skills test and then took the test in Canvas. This is our last major assessment of the semester and is included in the Quarter 2 average. Anyone absent today should contact me about making up this test ASAP. After the test, we read and answered practice EOC passages/questions. We practiced with poetry, fiction, and non-fiction. We will continue this practice in class on Thursday along with other review activities.
