I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Hello, parents! For the first day of class, I had students complete some activities to get a feel for how our class will work. They had a warm up (Student Inventory), a writing assignment (respond to an inspirational quotation), partner and group work on writing elements of grammar and vocabulary, a text (video: Why I Read a Book a Day TED Talk), and some activities to get to know one another.
Homework for today is minor, but includes reading the syllabus and getting familiar with my policies and expectations, signing the acknowledgement form (both student and parent must sign), and using their WCPSS email/password to login to my class site on Canvas (Digital Resources on PCHS Home Page).
