I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
We started class with 15 minutes of free reading time (yay!). Next, we continued to review vocabulary in advance of tomorrow's quiz by creating additional illustrations of each word's meaning and by playing a review game using Quizlet live. Here is the Quizlet set that we used: Gilgamesh Vocabulary. Next, we considered elements of "The Return" as compared to the Hero's Journey Cycle and discussed which steps Gilgamesh completed, using textual evidence to complete the chart in student notes. Lastly, we used the SWBS method (Somebody Wants But So) to summarize the Gilgamesh and flood stories. We will use those summaries tomorrow to continue to investigate meaning.
Homework: Prepare for Thursday's Vocabulary quiz.
