I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors classes: Today was a test day for the Epic Hero Unit test. Most students worked on the test for the majority of the class period. After submitting their tests, students received their ACES paragraphs back with my feedback. They must complete a corrections process for each correction code noted on the print copy using the codes and instructions on page 10 of the Writer's Reference Guide. This is homework tonight, in addition to completing a first draft of the hero nomination letter to use in class tomorrow.
Academic class: Today was also test day for the unit test on Epic Heroes and The Epic of Gilgamesh. Most students worked on the test for the majority of the class period. After submitting their tests, students read a sample hero nomination letter and worked on an outline for their own. New vocabulary list today (if time): words 1-5.
