I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors Classes: We reviewed words 11-15 on Vocabulary list, taking notes on usage, synonyms, and antonyms. I gave students a crossword puzzle to use at home as a pretest for themselves, to see how many words they know without looking at the list. They should then study words they didn't know after completing the crossword. Quiz on vocabulary will be on Wed. We looked briefly at pronoun exercises from Friday's homework. Quiz on Agreement (subject-verb and pronoun-antecedent) is tomorrow (Tues.). Next, we completed the close reading activities with the Prologue to Oedipus and then began working in groups to study/present one section of the play to the rest of the class. We will have three days in class to complete the group work before presentations begin on Thursday. Homework: Finish classwork, study for Agreement quiz.
Academic Classes: We reviewed our vocabulary words using a Quizlet live activity. I reminded students of their grammar quiz tomorrow. Next, students read and took notes on Greek drama and tragedy shared information with others in a group who read different sources. Homework: Study for Agreement Quiz (subject-verb and pronoun-antecedent) on Tuesday and Vocabulary quiz on Wednesday.
