I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Students took the Julius Caesar vocabulary quiz at the beginning of class today. When finished, they had some time to read independently (up to 15 minutes, based on how quickly they finished the quiz. After that, we discussed how to create the Double Entry Journal assignment for Part I and created a journal entry for chapter 1. Students will need to download the journal template over the weekend to add entries for chapters 2 and 3.
Homework: Read chapters 4-6 in Things Fall Apart and write journal entries for chapters 2 and 3.
Upcoming: Midterm Benchmark Assessment on Monday (1st and 3rd) and Tuesday (4th)
Grammar Quiz on Wednesday
Revised "best" ACES paragraph due on Turnitin.com by Wednesday.
