I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
We started class with 10 minutes of independent reading, as usual. Next, students read one of the two articles from yesterday's post for insight into the author's claims/point of view (1st pd. read newspaper interview; 3rd/4th read "How to Write About Africa" and presented summaries to the class). With our remaining time, students used laptops to work on peer review of their partner's journal entries or composing their own journal entries for Part I chapters.
Homework: Part I journal entries for chapters 11-13
Part I Reading Quiz: Monday
Journals due: Monday
