I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors Classes: We started off by focusing on parallelism again, this time finding examples in our current text: Night. Students had to find and annotate three examples of parallelism in Night, stating the purpose/impact of that structure on the text. Groups then spent the next 35 minutes working on their motif poster design and working in Canvas to answer questions for Chapters 1, 2-3 (due tonight by midnight). In addition, they could use that time to add textual evidence of their motif to their tracking chart. For the second half of class, one of our counselors, Mr. Gross, came for the annual presentation on credits needed, graduation requirements, scheduling questions, and post-graduation plans. Homework: Submit chapter 1, 2-3 study questions on Canvas by midnight. Complete Chapter 3 analysis worksheet. In addition, students must finish reading and answering questions on Canvas for chapters 4-5 in Night by Tuesday, 11/22.
Reminder: Students must do 10 lessons for EOC review in Study Island by 12/21.
Academic Class: We started off with a review game for our vocabulary list. The quiz is on Monday. Then, students had the next 35 minutes to work on the study questions for Chapters 20-21 in Things Fall Apart in Canvas. All work is due tonight by midnight. Homework: Complete submissions for Chapters 20-21 questions in Canvas by midnight. Chapters 22-25 questions are due on Tuesday for anyone who wants to work ahead.
Reminder: Students must do 10 lessons on EOC review in Study Island by 12/21.
