I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
After 10 minutes of independent reading, we did a quick overview of the third and final type of dependent clause, the noun clause. Students took notes with examples of noun clauses, and then I asked them to review another student's homework and identify all the clauses present in the rewritten paragraph as well as check for sentence structure related punctuation. Then, we began skits and speeches! Different classes were able to finish at varying places; 3rd and 4th period will finish on Tuesday, while 1st period will wait until I can be there with them on Wednesday to finish.
Homework: 1) Things Fall Apart Pre-Reading assignment (4 questions for an excerpt from the novel) due Wed.. 2)Paint Chip synonyms for vocabulary due on Thursday (Vocab. quiz Friday)
Coming Up: Julius Caesar Vocab. Quiz Friday (3/24)
Grammar Sentence Structure Quiz Monday (3/27)
Final, revised ACES paragraph due Tuesday (3/28)
