I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Sadly, no official free reading time today. A few folks were able to finish classwork quickly and get some reading in. We started with vocabulary review by creating illustrations of the meaning of each vocabulary word. I encouraged them to try making the illustration out of the word's letters or otherwise attaching the illustration to the word itself to improve retention. After that, we quickly reviewed the requirements for MLA format and how to accomplish that formatting easily using Google Docs (template: Report MLA). Students then read the final section of The Epic of Gilgamesh, "The Return," and worked to answer reading comprehension questions (on Canvas). Those answers are due today by the end of the day. Finally, we added examples from "The Return" to the Archetype notes started yesterday.
