I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors classes: Students worked today in class rotating through stations to prepare for the week ahead. At the various stations, they completed a Grammar Unit pretest on sentence types, looked up definitions for new vocabulary, practiced their presentations for later the week, worked on their seismograph, analyzed irony in lines from the play, and reviewed graded work returned in class. Groups in 1st period did not make it around to all stations -- any missed handouts and the pretest are all available on Canvas. Homework: Finish seismograph - due date of presentation. Work on grammar quiz corrections (as needed -- due Thursday), letter revisions (as needed -- due Friday),
Academic Class: Students completed their Grammar Unit 2 pretest on sentence types and worked on definitions for new vocabulary words at the beginning of class. They also completed a Canvas quiz on Scene I of Oedipus Rex, which we read, annotated, discussed, and answered questions about on Thursday and Friday last week. After everyone finished the Canvas quiz, we began to read Scene 2 of Oedipus Rex, continuing with annotation and discussion questions as well. Homework: Finish definitions (as needed). Retake Scene I quiz (as needed).
