I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
Honors Classes: We started with a quiz on Grammar Unit 2: Types of Sentences/Fragments/Run-ons. Next, we completed our Oedipus seminar discussion from two days ago. In first period, that's all we had time for! In 3rd period, we should be able to also work on reading/annotation of Things Fall Apart chapters 7-8 in class. Homework: Read/annotate chapters 7-8 in Things Fall Apart. Remember, annotation involves character/place identification, Igbo and robust vocabulary words, setting illustrations, and identifying passages for analysis in the Double Entry Journal.
Academic Classes: We also started with a quiz on Grammar Unit 2. After the quiz, students worked in the Media Center on typing their paragraphs in the group literary analysis essay. Homework: Finish paragraph in the essay if necessary.
