I post here daily about what we accomplished in class each day, including handouts and links available to students on my CANVAS site.
1st Period: 10 minutes of reading, followed by vocabulary lesson from Julius Caesar groups, then in-class writing assignment for rhetorical analysis paragraph. Those who finished in time could work on Paint Chip Synonyms or the pre-reading assignment for Things Fall Apart. Homework: Continue Paint Chip Synonyms as needed, complete pre-reading assignment (read/annotate/answer 4 questions on handout).
3rd/4th Period: 10 minutes of reading, followed by vocabulary lesson from Julius Caesar groups, then continued skits and speeches from yesterday. 4th period also had time to work on the Comma Splice/Fused Sentence Exercise 2 Handout. Homework: Complete pre-reading assignment for Things Fall Apart (read/annotate/answer 4 questions on handout).
